Knowsley Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is an NHS organisation that brings together local GPs (doctors), nurses and other healthcare professionals from across Knowsley, to assess the health needs of the local population, and then plan, buy and monitor the delivery of the required healthcare services.

Healthwatch Knowsley aim to give local residents and communities a stronger voice to influence and challenge how health & social care services are provided within Knowsley.

NHS 111

For urgent but non-emergency medical advice call NHS 111 to speak to a highly trained adviser, supported by healthcare professionals.  They will ask you a series of questions to assess your symptoms and immediately direct you to the best medical care for you.  NHS 111 is available in England 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.

999 Emergency

The 999 emergency ambulance and response paramedic cover for Kirkby is provided by the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) NHS Trust.  In addition to 999 response, NWAS also provides patient transport and major incident response.  NWAS has a maintenance and crew rest station at Kirkby Ambulance Station, but this cannot be used for drop-in assistance.
