There are a range of Christian denominations and other faiths in the area
The Church of England in Kirkby runs four churches and the Centre 63 youth centre:
- St. Chad’s Church near the town centre
- St. Andrew’s Church in Towerhill
- St. Mark’s church in Northwood
- St. Martin’s Church in Southdene
There are four Roman Catholic churches in Kirkby:
- St. Joseph the Worker in Southdene
- St. Mary Mother of God in Northwood
- St. Michael’s and All Angels in Westvale
- St. Peter and St. Paul’s in Towerhill
There are a number of other churches in the Christian tradition:
- Bethany Baptist Church on the Field Lane Estate
- Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Westvale
- Kirkby Baptist Church in Southdene
- Kirkby Christian Fellowship near the town centre
- Lifegate Church in Southdene
- Northwood Chapel in Northwood
- Westvale Chapel in Westvale
There is also a Hindu organisation, the Liverpool Ganesh Centre.
